The EU report has been developed after the compilation of 5 National Reports from Germany, Spain, Romani, Italy and Croatia. It is aimed at providing specific suggestions, recommendations, and guidelines for the development of a transversal curriculum and the elaboration of materials for pre-school and primary School teachers to integrate key competences for lifelong learning and Sustainable Development Goals using an authentic learning approach in their teaching.
A survey and an interview were designed.
The participants in the activities to identify the needs were:
• SURVEY: 3-11 teachers and pedagogical coordinators involved in working with children.
• INTERVIEWS: experts that have been involved in the field of key competencies for lifelong learning, sustainability, and soft skills…etc. since at least 5 years from representative organisations at national, regional (and EU) levels (Associations, Unions and federations, etc.)
With this research, the partnership intends to review the state of the art of key competencies for LLL and environmental learning on national policy level as well as identify practices and teacher learning opportunities in partner countries. This part will be prepared by using desk research methods of key national documents, regulations, and existing practices. The purpose is to provide an overview and a definitive summation of the information in participating countries.
The results obtained will be used by the THINKIDS team to design a transversal curriculum and the elaboration of materials for pre-school and primary School teachers.
